A Note

From the Founder and
CEO, Paula Turner

There are many things I am passionate about, but two that are top of mind are making great wine and trying to do my part in making a difference in the world. Having traveled to many countries around the world I quickly realized that poverty and the challenges to accessing clean water is everywhere. It can be overwhelming to think about how one person could possibly make a dent in this world wide issue, but as a friend once said to me “do for one what you wish you could do for all.” And it was then I started volunteering my time and money to building wells in Indonesia, Haiti, and across the world. When my dream of owning a vineyard became a reality the name ``Oconee Dream`` immediately came to mind because of its meaning ``Place of water`` and Lake Oconee is my place of restoration and relaxation. Having the ability to use some of the proceeds of my wine sales to support clean water charities is truly a dream.

Managing Partner/ World Explorer/ Wine Enthusiast.

I have had the privilege to have traveled to over 70 countries exploring new cultures, unique foods and, of course, great wine. It is through my travels that I came to appreciate the uniqueness of the soil, climate, elevation and grapes from some of the best wine regions in the world. I have always dreamt of owning my own vineyard and creating a great wine, I just never imagined it would be nestled in the valley of the Andes Mountains. So here, the journey begins.

My favorite part of wine is that it brings us together. My love of the outdoors, nature and farming is only secondary to curating great conversation at a crowded table. Growing our grapes at the foothills of the Andes Mountains and creating wines to share is a dream come true. I hope our wines help facilitate full hearts and meaningful connections.
